Flat & Curved Decorative Pallets

At Bookbindesigns we make flat and curved decorative pallets. These pallets are typically used by bookbinders for creating the design on the spine of the book. They can also be used on the boards of a book.

They are used as a finishing product to lay down gold leaf/foil to the edges and cover of a book.

Our engraved flat and curved decorative pallets are made at 3” wide.

Our flat and curved decorative pallets are deeply engraved flush to one edge making them easy to sight on the workpiece. These pallets would make a perfect addition to Bookbinders collection.

These tools require heat to make the impression onto leather. They work well using gold leaf, foil or simply blind embossing.

The designs in the catalogue can be made flat or curved – please specify when ordering.

Please note: The designs in the catalogue for brass flat and curved decorative pallets are available in the same design for brass rolls/wheels.

If the design you require is not in the catalogue, Bookbindesigns are able to make bespoke pallet from artworks, photographs, PDF, AI, old leather prints or any other format you may have.
